I recently stumbled upon "Outstanding in the Field" and I am in total awe of the moveable feast. What a fabulous idea! I wish the event in Wilton, CT later this month wasn't already sold out. Perhaps they are coming to a town near you?

I love these images from emersonmade. What a fun photo of the wedding party! Flowers, flowers and more flowers...!

I cannot stop thinking about Jules Reid's fabulous line which was just shown at a trunk show in my hometown!  I must have one of these dresses for my next party!

Happy Mother's Day Mom!! Tory Burch certainly has the right idea...an invitation to breakfast in bed. xxx

There are endless creative ideas for a "Save the Date". How about printing the details of your wedding on a deflated balloon? What fun!

While my husband can't be bothered with the Oscar's....I adore every minute of them and it is the perfect night to have all of our friends over for a party! Bakeralla has a fabulous recipe for Oscar cookies and Twig and Thistle created a terrific Oscar ballot. Get ready to roll out the red carpet!

I love the idea of printing a menu card on a brown paper bag which can then serve as a gift bag for fresh peaches at the end of the evening! Burlap table cloths, fresh cut flowers, and mason jars help create a simple rustic feel. What a great idea for a picnic in the spring!

I recently came across this most delightful looking dessert from Les Madeleines in Utah on the Stephmodo blog and I almost don't want to take a bite they look so pretty!

Don't you wish you had been invited to these birthday parties?!

If I lived in NYC I would definitely want to throw my child’s birthday party at Moomah! Moomah is brilliant!

The Superbowl is just around the corner and I have to say I am not as excited for the football as I am for my seven layer been dip (recipe from Martha Stewart below) and all of the TV ad’s. Chow has a great article on their favorite food-and-drink ad’s from Superbowls past.

SEVEN LAYER BEAN DIP:
  1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add 1 cup onion and the garlic, and cook over low heat until translucent, about 2 minutes. Stir in beans, and cook for 3 minutes. Roughly mash with the back of a spoon, adding reserved liquid as needed to attain desired consistency.
  2. Mix tomatoes with remaining 2 tablespoons onion and the salt. Mash avocados with jalapenos, 2 tablespoons sour cream, and the lemon juice.
  3. Spread 1/2 inch mashed beans into bottom of each jar. Top with 2 tablespoons cheddar, 1 tablespoon scallions, cup tomato mixture, 3 tablespoons avocado mixture, 2 tablespoons sour cream, then 2 1/2 tablespoons olives. (Alternatively, layer all ingredients in a large bowl.) Serve with chips.

I love to run and I love my two dogs, Knox and Finn, but I haven’t been very successful running with them as of yet. However, looking at this picture from the NYTimes I have to believe there is still hope since they are retrievers.

An old friend from elementary school, Paige Gamble, designs the most divine clutches I have ever seen and she has also just opened shop in Aspen! I’d love to have one of her clutches in hand for my next cocktail party.

I can't believe it has been a year. Happy anniversary Baby!!

Mike Fretto designed this eye-catching t-shirt as a way to help those in Haiti. 100% of the proceeds from this t-shirt will be donated to Partners in Health, who's mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. They have begun treating the injured and continue to be a powerful force in the fight to save lives..... We can all help!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I found the perfect arts and crafts project (from Twig & Thistle) for your Valentine.

Why not do something different for dessert? How about a cheese table!! I love these images from Sunday Suppers.

I stumbled across artist Caitlin McGauley in my favorite magazine, Lonny Magazine, a few months back and I have to say I adore her work.
German artist Katharina Fritsch currently has a fabulous exhibit in Germany and it strikes me as a great idea to use umbrellas as decor in a tent! What do you think?

Yes, it is true, I have a major sweet tooth. Above are a few unique cupcake liners which could help provide a fun theme for a child's birthday party!

I think this tent, which event designer Stanlee R. Gatti did for the SF MoMA, is simply fantastic! Who knew AstroTurf could look so good?!

I love how these flowers and orange chivari chairs pop! The contrast of the bright color against the stark white is modern and sophisticated all in one. A burst of color certainly brings energy to this party!

I am having a post ski-day gathering this weekend and I can’t think of anything better to warm up with than a little whiskey. Jim Meehan of PDT, New York always has the perfect cocktail recipes!

Whiskey Smash

2 sprigs of mint
3 lemon wedges
¾ oz. simple syrup
2 oz. Maker's Mark bourbon

1. Add the mint, lemon, and simple syrup to a mixing glass and muddle.

2. Add rye and ice, shake, then strain into a rocks glass.

3. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

I love to host dinner parties and I love to entertain year-round; however, finding delicious fresh fruits and vegetables is not always so easy. CHEW ON THIS has a unique product which allows you to find the best times of year to buy locally grown produce in the New York City area (I am hoping they create one for Aspen too!). All you have to do is turn the wheel to reveal peak seasons and availability: This is the perfect gift for your foodie friends.
